I’ve written this before, but I guess it needs to be said again: Reporters and commentators are the LAST people hired at a network. You need equipment, satellite space, carriage agreements, engineers, audio, lights, etc.
Once you have all that, and can pay for it for two or three years before you even think about turning a profit—then you can think about hiring a staff.
But consider this: The optimum audience for a TV News network is 25-50. What is the average age of your freeper—and what would they pay each month for this network. Advertisers would not touch this “new network with a ten foot pole for years,.
Thanks for the reality check. Folks might be surprised to know that they are missing very little by simply turning their sets off.
