People can stand on top of soapboxes in alleys and scream at the walls, but this is not what the founders had in mind when they protected freedom of speech.

They did in fact mean freedom to be heard by the public, and if you are stopping the public from hearing a message because you don't like it, then you should not be allowed to control any communications infrastructure.

So then why can't I demand to be televised on all of the networks and published on the front page of every newspaper?

Or were the founders only thinking of the internet when they considered free speech?
