Jared Kushner In Florida After Passing Law That Ex-Felons Can Vote More Ex-Felons Register As Republicans Than Democrats. Gee, it couldn't be due to the illegal alien gangsters they encountered in prison, by any chance?

According to the exact wording in the Amendment, any felon who has completed his sentence, parole, or probation is eligible to re-register after some exact date (which I can't recall) in January, 2019.

The article claims that approximately 1,400 felons have re-registered.

I have read multiple comments at Free Republic about the Florida Senate needing to do certain things, and that the felons need to pay a substantial fee to re-register, etc., etc., but I have never seen an actual link to any of those claims.

I will definitely read the evidence for those other claims - if it exists.

I did some more research.

Florida has an EXISTING law that allows felons to re-register after five years with the approval of the Florida Clemency Board.

Apparently, there is an ongoing partisan battle in Florida about the language in the Amendment.

The Democrats say that felon voting restoration is “automatic” per the Amendment language.

The Republicans say “NO,” that the time frame has been reduced to the “total completion of the sentence, including parole and probation,” but that felons must still go through an administrative process, etc., to re-register.

It may have been a scam, but 65% of Florida voters voted for it.
