Wouldn’t work. The Japanese were and are proud people with a work ethic. They loathed being cooped up and idle. Whereas, the streams of millions of illegals from the south would overwhelm any efforts at incarceration and containment. Where to put them all? Secondly, they would enjoy sitting on their @$$es and being fed, and unbroken siesta. Their motto: “Eess nawh my jawb, meng!” JMHO.

Makes no sense to me. The president’s job #1 is to protect the border. No need to ask permission. WTF?

As one of the last counties in California which still cooperates with ICE including hosting some of the most dangerous illegals as they count out their days before being deported as well as a former host to one of the internment camps which held those of Japanese ancestry, I have to say that while I understand where your thoughts are on this, it also is not a viable solution.

You're close there, though. A concentration of housing, medical care, education, legal access as well as the judicial conclusion of the case into one center would provide a solution which could process tens of thousands of cases each year. Repeat it in multiple centers across the country (with the illegal going to the nearest center to where they were residing) would be the most compassionate.

And doing so on military installations would provide the least complications.

Call it the Repatriot Act. Education opportunities could include language classes for the country they're being returned to. And of course, any crimes committed in such a center would be federal by nature of their location.

Rendition the hordes. There has to be an island in the south pacific where the radiation levels have diminished enough to where they won’t get sick.

From the border to the airport. Commandeer greyhound buses.

How could we ever put 28-33 million invaders in internment camps? The answer is, we can't. That is 10% of the population.

Instead, we take their mug shots, fingerprints, and DNA samples and expel them to their native countries. No US visa or Green Card allowed in the future for those caught and expelled, ever. No asylum, ever. If, however, they turn themselves in first, it is possible they can get a temporary visa after 5 years. No welfare of any kind, ever.

They have 90 days to turn themselves in for processing and expulsion. If they show up again, they do prison time (increasing with subsequent offenses) and expelled again. DACA "kids" are free to leave with their parents (same rules). Same for anchor babies. Eliminate anchor baby scam, visa lottery scam, and other immigration scams.

No camps - except maybe as very temporary rest stations on their way home to Honduras and Arabia - the idea is their removal, not providing them any more free room and board

Should the President ever consider placing these “invaders” in camps similar to the ones of World War II?

Brainstorming among friends is one thing, but it is remarkable that the issue at the national level is even in doubt.

The answer, of course, is "Only upon finding a basis for granting asylum, otherwise for no longer than transportation can be arranged for return to the government of the most recent country they visited.

Interned WWII Japanese were relocated for two reasons: their safety and as a matter of national security. Today's "invaders" in additional to posing a national security threat are clearly in violation of the law. We put even those suspected of such violations in jail.

That would be an ideal way to handle the boarder situation.

This Open Borders thing isn’t a new idea. The American Indians tried it in the 16th and 17th Centuries. Ask the survivors how that worked out...
