[[What good cops? Where are they?]]
Seriously?
they are out getting shot to death on domestic violence calls, pulling cars over and getting blindsided- Getting run over by crazed lunatics- going through gang run towns to respond to calls for help- They are getting the crap kicked out of them by violent criminals- they are getting severely injured by people high on drugs-
Where are they? All over America- selflessly putting their lives on the line every single day protecting folks- Where are the people supporting the good police who make life much safer for all of us every single day- of which there are many?
Well said.
But as the saying goes, “haters gonna hate”.
You made a lot of good points there. But if I could say just one thing to all the good cops out there, it would be this: Please be more courteous to the general public.
Because I’ve noticed quite a shift over the past 30 years (yes, I’m that old).
Back then cops were more pleasant. I’d say “hello” to one in passing, and I’d get a “hello” back. I’d ask one for directions, and I’d get directions.
Now all I get is attitude, a why-are-you-talking-to-me attitude.
Am I being too thin-skinned here? Maybe. And I certainly understand that things are different today. The cop I just said “hello” to might have just come from a double shooting. He might not be in such a good mood.
But common courtesy, it’s not that hard. And it goes a long way.
And this is why I’ll dedicate a JBT thread to one every chance I get. The MSM doesn’t give me all that many chances. *sigh*
Re: your 12
How about the “good cop” whose immigrant somali (I don’t capitalize anything to do with saracens) “partner” murdered an Australian woman, who shot her *while in the car*, possibly causing permanent hearing damage to aforementioned “good cop?”
