I got XP and 7 dual booted on my machine. It’s easy.

Thats not what I wanted to hear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
cause now I gotta think/see if I can do it. My computer programming/building days are long behind me. I once wrote a cache to be used instead of MS cache. The company measured its effectiveness against MS cache and it was faster. But those days are gone. I got 200GB free space on C:. HMMMMMMmmmmm

All you gotta do is program XP first and leave a part of the hard drive unpartitioned.

I have a 1TB hard drive so I went 200/800. I programmed XP first and got it completed updated.

Then when I programmed in W7, I did a custom install, installed it on the unpartitioned part of the hard drive and got it completed updated.

Now when the computer boots up it'll ask you which segment of the hard drive you want to use, the "previous Windows" (or something like that) or Windows 7.

After that it's just a matter of booting into Windows 7, using BCDEDIT to edit change the "previous Windows" to "Windows XP Pro" and viola, you're all set.

How to Use the BCDEDIT Command Line Tool
