Former President Barack Obama paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle in a letter that was read at a memorial for the late musician and community activist on Thursday.
The full text follows.
Dear Friends and Family of Nipsey: I'd never met Nipsey Hussle, but I'd heard some of his music through my daughters, and after his passing, I had the chance to learn more about his transformation and his community work.
While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets, and despair, Nipsey saw potential. He saw hope. He saw a community that, even through its flaws, taught him to always keep going. His choice to invest in that community rather than ignore it -- to build a skills training center and a coworking space in Crenshaw; to lift up the Eritrean-American community; to set an example for young people to follow -- is a legacy worth of celebration. I hope his memory inspires more good work in Crenshaw and communities like it.

Beside the game show appearances I remember Nipsey Russell as a cop in Car 54.

Then, 0 jumps out in front of the situation by having something to say about it...
And THEN, as the funeral procession proceeds, there's MORE killing.
"Let the discerning observer understand", except that a person has to be blessed with only a little discernment to understand this story.
Then I saw it was Nipsey "Hussle" and wondered if it was a nickname for Nipsey Russell or a formal name change...then I saw he was a rapper. And I saw this on Wikipedia:

After I saw that, I thought it would be appropriate to post the "Well, Bye" image. A dumb ass dead rapper shot to death and eulogized by a scumbag like Barack Obama.
Seems fitting.

Heh, as I read these, I can actually HEAR his voice...I like to do a little poetry now and then, and I love limericks (I had a girfriend gave me two books of spicy limericks!) so this is right up my alley! Rest in Peace, Mr. Russell...this other guy can go pound sand.
