Sen. Bernie Sanders went to bat for Rep. Ilhan Omar on Friday night — calling her a “leader with strength and courage” — in a tweet that was later praised by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
“[Omar] won’t back down to Trump’s racism and hate, and neither will we,” Sanders said, just hours after the president released a video on Twitter, ripping the Minnesota congresswoman over comments she made last month about 9/11.
“The disgusting and dangerous attacks against her must end,” Sanders seethed.
In response, Ocasio-Cortez said: “Thank you Sen. @BernieSanders for recognizing these attacks clearly for what they are.”

They remind me of the former University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill, who called the victims of 09/11 “little Eichmanns,” a reference to Adolf Eichmann, the Nazi leader who helped orchestrate the Holocaust.

AOC was 10 years old when 9/11 happened. AOC was a child. She has more feelings for Omar because of her relationship with her vs. what she remembers as a child.

They are just slow letdown for the kids
We fight and win the Cold War, and we get Sanders, and AOC - pushing socialism/communism. Thousands of Americans are killed on 9-11, people are maimed during the Boston Marathon, multiple young soldiers lose their lives in the Middle East, others lose limbs when IEDs explode, and we get Omar, a President with the middle name Hussein who is at the very least ‘apologetic’ for radical Muslims - AND we get a CIA director who is reportedly Muslim. It’s out of control.
