Now I’m almost regretting gleefully pointing out the part where the rebel’s allies ATE THE FLESH of dozens of POWs.
Yup, I read this too about the leftist bastard.
Too bad his story backfires on him. None of us has any notion that The Empire resembles the US at any time in history. It further doesnt help that he fashioned The Empire on NAZI and Jap imagery.
Yeah, I heard, and that’s exactly the reason I no longer root for the Rebels, and if anything root for the Empire (no one tricks me into rooting for communists and gets away with it). To make matters worse, this actually IS in his development notes from the start, unlike his similar claims about how Greedo always shot first, or how he always envisioned Vader as being Luke’s father.
And as far as the moment, well, it’s not a movie (unless you count the banquet at the end of ROTJ), but the book Children of the Jedi DID have the Rebels essentially committing Red October or the September Massacres on the Imperial Palace staff based on Leia’s recollection here: https://i.redd.it/n33r15e8tbg01.jpg
