Theyre having to play this all out publicly, and theyre fair game for jokes and memes, but also outraged [by] people who are saying that they are cheaters. You conspired to defraud SAT and a college admittance board to give your child an unfair advantage in getting in to an elite college.
I would call that cheating. And in this case I would say that cheating is about as kind a word as one could use to describe what your family has done.
Maybe you feel entitled to better treatment because you are rich maybe?

Two arrogant people without a moral compass end up humiliated, in prison and estranged from their children. Seems about right.

Darn voice-to-text. I apologize for the mistakes. I’m working on my cell phone and the buttons are so tiny.

They are delusional! She doesnt see they did anything wrong and are pleading not guilty (vs the rest) because surely any mother would do the same if they had the means to do so.

Just my $0.000002 worth. But all the dollars being spent on this, with everyone acting like the education system itself is some beacon of integrity is pathetic.
Is cheating wrong; absolutely. Is accepting the bribes wrong; absolutely. Yet in all of those, where are the institutions being held accountable? Even looking at their acceptance practices, they showed favor to one group or another and exhibited bias which garnered them funding in the form of grants. Let’s just call a spade a spade here.
Hell, there is probably more investigative power being applied on this than on Omar’s questionable background and ties to terrorists.

Then don’t cheat.
It’s like all the rest of the people who do something wrong and when their antics come to light, every one who mentions it is accused of *slandering* them.
It’s not slander if it’s true, and if they don’t want to look bad to others, they shouldn’t have done what they did.

I knew someone who had shoplifted and finally got caught and when I made some comment about stealing or a thief, she was upset. She wsn’t a *thief*. The big bad corporations over charge and they’re stealing from us, and yada, yada, yada.
Managed, in her mind only, to justify her actions.

Why aren't their lawyers keeping these people away from the public during this time? If they don't understand that their actions STOLE opportunities which little folks' children worked hard for and deserved, then they should NEVER be in a position where they earn the public's money.
The elite are out of control, have been for quite awhile. It's fascinating that robbing opportunities for their children, at the expense of those who deserved them, is what tipped the outrage scale! That, and Jussie's scheme to vilify Trump supporters at the cost of making Chicago even more a city of hate.
