(Newser) – You'll soon be able to drop Amazon returns at Kohl's locations across the country—no packing required. More than 1,150 Kohl's stores will accept Amazon returns by July as part of an extended partnership launched in spring 2017. About 100 stores offer the service currently. Customers need only bring packaged or unpackaged Amazon items to a store, per Fortune. Kohl's, which sells Amazon products in more than 200 stores, will then pack and send the items to an Amazon return center at no additional cost. CNBC notes the goal is to drive traffic to stores, referencing 9% growth in new customers at Kohl's locations in Chicago, which tested the return service in 2017. Kohl's shares were up almost 10% with Tuesday's announcement. (Read more Amazon stories.)
(On the rare occasion I return something to Amazon.)
recycled news from yesterday.
Kohl’s just trying to find any way to get people into their store in hopes they will buy something. I doubt it will work.
You can already do that at UPS stores. Very convenient and easy.
Having made a couple returns at Kohl’s in recent months (and I RARELY shop there), I would never go wait in line at their customer service desk to return something from Amazon.
Customer service sucks as it is at Kohls (don’t get me started on the idiotic register area... oppps Im thinking of Burlington Coat Factory and Marshalls, ROSS, and Michaels Arts and Crafts) imagine the return counter 20 people deep and not even during Christmas season?
Kohl’s market cap is only $12 billion. Amazon could buy the whole chain for not much more.
This same kind of deal sunk NEMF.
No way. I am not driving 72 miles roundtrip to the nearest Kohls when there is a post office only four miles away.

Maybe they’re testing the waters.
Can it 1st time me and others have heard. Geshhhhh get a frigen life
if you did would would be an idiot
I don’t know who the buyers are for their womens’ fashion...but they need firing. Ugly and cheap looking.
Sounds like a good arrangement for amazon and its customers who need to return items.
My local UPS store is walking distance.
Kohl’s, not so much.
Never seen a Kohls store. Certainly none near me.
I like the fact you don’t have to repackage the item.
Although I usually keep the box or package it came in for a few days.
I keep boxes too, but the best thing is since we dont box it and ship it back, we arent responsible for damage/loss returning it.
I thought at first glance they were going to send a drone or something.
Kohl’s is a good store. It might help Kohl’s.
