More like 20 Hail Marys and 10 Our Fathers...” but like as the promise of an Indulgence for time off from RC Purgatory (in heretical RC tradition) for alms-giving, so also the practice of rote prayers prescribed in response to confession to Catholic prests is a corruption flowing from corruption.
But so is the idea that the faith that saves need not be a living faith which effects obedience toward the Lord Jesus who made it, so that even a (Mayor) Pete Buttigieg is defended as being a Christian.
