I'd like to point out that we already have a national banking system. It's called the Federal Reserve: it is the place of last resort for a bank who wants to process a check. It's expensive, which is why banks have negotiated a number of out-of-channel peering arrangements with each other for clearing checks.

At least AOC is calling for a competing bank, and not killing off the existing banks.

Your take seems to be that she wants a new Bank of The United States. That is annissue that can be discussed readonably. She seems to want to use the example of the Postal System. At least two problems...union labor and lack of any real accountability for screwwing up, and well the USPS isn’t really a part of govt anymore.
