Hundreds of thousands of Americans are crossing the border into Mexico each year to receive a wide range of treatments, including medical services, dental care and cosmetic surgery, experts in what has become known as "medical tourism" say. According to Josef Woodman, the CEO of Patients Beyond Borders, an organization advocating for medical travel, as many as 800,000 to 1 million American citizens make the trip from the U.S. to Mexico for affordable treatment each year. That number, Woodman said, is a "conservative estimate" and excludes non-citizens and undocumented immigrants, of which he claims there are thousands who also make the trip to Mexico each year for treatment. The true number of Americans who travel south for treatment is difficult to estimate, he said, as medical travel is typically a private affair.

Yes what about Obamacare? Wasn’t Obama Care supposed to fix all of our Healthcare problems including the high cost of healthcare?
The media overall have hardly reported at all, on the sharp increases in healthcare premiums since Obamacare was passed
And what’s with these Democrats talking about Medicare for all and other changes to healthcare? Democrats allegedly fixed Healthcare by passing Obamacare. So if Obamacare was such wonderful legislation, why are so many Democrats pushing medicare-for-all and other fixes, when supposedly their Obama Care legislation fixed all of our health insurance issues?

How many end up spending even more to have their work from Mexico “fixed”?
I’ve known of people who did that.
Some retirees would organize regular caravans... and some Mexicans I knew who were legal would do the same.
We used to go to get a prescription filled after our insurance stopped covering it.
But the post-shot pain relief dissipated long before 3 mo were up, leaving them clamoring for another shot *NOW*.
The Mexican doctors had no compunction about giving the Gringo tourists what they wanted. It sent him into an early grave, but with less pain. I'm not sure if that's exactly what he wanted, but it's what he got.
