The dems propaganda spin is so predictable these days. The Republicans have been talking about the "largest scandal in U.S. history being uncovered," so the dems respond in knee jerk fashion claiming, "We are confronting what might be the largest, broadest cover-up in American history....”

Well, on second thought, I suppose it is the DEMOCRAT's largest coverup attempt in history....

I think Trump is trying to lure them into doing it.

Go ahead, you corrupt mofo Rat bastards. Try impeaching Trump and 63 million armed patriots will descend on Washington that will make the burning of Washington by the British in the War of 1812 look like a student tour group.

McGahn's testimony is readily available online, can be read by anyone, and none of the Democrats have bothered to read the full unredacted report in the secure room offered by Barr.

I feel like the dangerous times are starting. Barr has made it clear that he's looking into things that are mighty bad for democrats up to and potentially including Obama (though I don't think Trump would ever pursue Obama, he'd shut that down if it started that way). In response they are trying to decapitate his administration for any reason they can. This is unprecedented in American politics, it's gotten bare knuckles before but threatening to impeach a president without even a hint of an actual crime? You can't even say "mueller report" because they started with it before he was inaugurated.

As stuff comes to a head in the next 60 days it's going to get very interesting.

"Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens."

I love that movie and that line sounds so cool but then I think about it and wonder "what does that even really mean? Skin that smoke wagon?" Clearly he means 'draw that gun' but is that an expression anyone has ever used for that? Skin it? Smoke wagon?

One of those things where I shouldn't have overthought it I guess.

He is and it is their last round of ammo which is useless. He will hit them back with the mother load of info he has on them and use the Insurrection Act to boot both illegals and the deep state scum .

It seems like Pelosi’s impeachment is obstructing Barr’s investigations.

This is what I'm talking about entering the dangerous times. The natural counter to impeachment is to link it to an attempt to obstruct the coup investigation, which is what it is. Then you get into congress accusing the President of Obstruction and the President accusing congress of Obstruction. Ugly stuff never seen before in the USA.

I'm a fan of history and the closest I can get to this historically is the end of the Roman republic. The Senate started eliminating political enemies first by trying them for fake crimes and then banishing them, then some were simply murdered while others were criminalized in absentia. It got ugly and was for a few decades but it really blew up when they tried criminalizing Julius Caesar while he was in Gaul commanding the bulk of the Roman army. They expected him to meekly leave his army and walk into their chains. Instead he marched into Rome instead and swept the republic away.

When your opposition to people has a worst case result of them having to find a new job (i.e losing their election) you can have a functional republic. When opposition results in them and their children and everyone who ever knew them spied on, leaked about, and threatened with jail then it's a different thing.

It's the dems that are dismantling our republic. They don't care about elections, in fact they want to take them out of the hands of the people. They certainly don't want to give Trump a chance to reaffirm his mandate by winning again. So as they try to force the issue with these endless subpoenas on Trumps' private business ventures from decades ago and threats of fines and jail time for his direct staff things are getting hard to maneuver through without it getting pretty ugly pretty fast. Ugly will start with grand juries indicting people like Brennan for his pivtoal role in what was clearly illegal spying on political opposition. When that happens, all hell will break loose like never before. What a summer we are in for. Because Brennan and Clapper and Comey and Lynch and Rice weren't all spying on their own initiative. "Spying on the opposition" leads one to ask "opposition to who? Hillary? But she can't direct multiple agencies to do that without the direct support of .... oh boy"

I want the democrat party banned. From slavery, to the KKK, segregation, and now to a coup attempt, they have never shown themselves to be pro-American. Why do the rest of us need to tolerate a party like that? If they were outside the US, they'd be considered a terrorist group.

You are going to get your wish. The military and national security nationalists have had the course with these traitors on both sides of the aisle. The Day of Reckoning and Constitutional Reset Day is here.

Don’t worry about it. Our side has all the guns and we will expose these crooks for what they are and will deal with them. All resistors to this who go against us do so at their own peril.

And keeping with the spirit of your line yet in the context of my Rome analogy, consider that it was the Senate that installed Sulla as dictator to restore order to their liking. He killed tons and tons of populists and then turned things back over to the Senate. At that time, they were the ones with the "guns". Years later when they came for Caesar, he had them and it ended poorly for the Senators.

Trump has the AG (it seems) but I still don't trust the the FBI, the CIA, Mitch McConnell, most of the government in general including many of Trumps own staff, and certainly not the GOP that fought him every step of the way. Assuming he is in a position that is unassailable seems premature at best.
