STARKE, Fla. (AP) - The Latest on Execution-Serial Killer (all times local):
7:30 p.m.
Convicted serial killer Bobby Joe Long had no last words before he was executed for a 1984 murder spree that claimed 10 women.
Witnesses say the 65-year-old Long simply closed his eyes as the lethal injection procedure began Thursday at Florida State Prison. In the front row was Lisa Noland, who was abducted and raped by Long before he released her - and she was able to lead police to him.
Another witness had on a polo shirt with photos of all 10 victims on the back and the words, "The Ones That Matter."
Long was pronounced dead at 6:55 p.m.

I do not quite see connection between a convicted murderer in Texas with a Jewish revolutionary fighting against the Romans.

Read the book “Without Conscience” by Dr Robert Hare. He’s studied psychopaths in detail. He also co-authored “Snakes In Suits”.
Fourteen percent of the population have limited or no conscience which, among other personality characteristics, qualifies them as psychopaths. The good news is only a small percentage of that 14% are killers.
I personally knew one such person, a female co-worker and she actually threatened to kill me but never went beyond the threat.
When this girl acted out she had absolutely no remorse. All of her problems were someone else’s fault. She was very charming. Her life’s goal was to bed every guy she knew, in particular cops. I would not fall for it, which had her plotting against me and using her powers to persuade the cops I was a bad guy.
Not even, “ouch!”?

So he was not a remorseful person.
It made NO SENSE, in HIS MIND, to let her go.
Why did he?
I guess we will never know.
Maybe wanted to get caught a TINY BIT?
Even through the horrific 24 hours, she made herself seem to human and real to kill?
Or maybe he just thought she wouldn’t give a good enough description anyway.
But 24 hours is a long time to get a good memory of what the person looked like.

Back when Florida still had Old Sparky, there was an execution scheduled, and I was in a class that day.
Right at the time of the scheduled execution, one of the students went and flickered the lights, everybody cracked up laughing, even the teacher.
It was a different time.
