Any thoughts from people smarter than me on this topic?
He was a YUGE help in getting Trump elected, whether it was intended or not.
But breaking defense codes is probably a very bad thing.

Wow I guess Hillary Clinton is still clearly in charged.
The Whistle Blower is indicted for exposing Hillary Clinton?
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is walking free, despite all her crimes, high treason and calling for President Trump’s arrest?
Outrageous!

I don't like it at all that revealing truth is now a crime. I didn't like it when Edward Snowden showed us for certain how out of control spying on US citizens had become, and was charged with crimes for that. The argument this morning is that Assange wasn't really a journalist. It's a Brave New World when the gov can decide that someone who does journalism isn't a journalist. Meanwhile, those who leaked confidential information (including inside the WH leakers) aren't charged with crimes.
I'd like MORE stuff released....Benghazi, spying on President Trump's campaign, illegal and controversial global mischief, information about foreign governments who fund "our" Reps and US Senators.
Our nation is supposed to represent freedom of speech and embracing the truth. I doubt we can ever get back to that principle.

Was Assange in the U.S. when these “crimes” occurred?
Is he a U.S. citizen?
What Assange did exposed a lot of government corruption. We need more of that.

So in these morons eyes Manning isn't responsible, EH? It's all that bastard Assange's fault for inducing him(I refuse to acknowledge it as anything but the male it was born)
