They thought Trump would resist and not provide every document and witness like he did.
They were trying to engineer another Nixonian resignation from cover-up.
Instead, Trump gave them everything they wanted and destroyed their case. The case was never about collusion, as the ring leader Glenn Simpson was simply reusing the line of attack that he had written about in 2007 to attack Manafort for working with McCain.
My question is...was Manafort a Democrat plant to put the Glenn Simpson tactic into play?

Winning. By winning the election, he “obstructed” the “justice” that would have been achieved by Hillary becoming President.

I think the counter-attack is going to be brutal. Kathleen Kavalec’s notes of Christopher Steele show that Russian foreign intelligence chief Vyacheslav Trubnikov and Putin aide Vladislav Surkov are Steele’s sources. Hillary paid Perkins Coie who paid Glenn Simpson and Chris Steele FOR INFO FROM PUTIN’S AIDES about Trump.
The few that know about this know that it’s absolutely insane because Hillary did everything they spent two years accusing Trump of doing. The problem is pacing. If you dump all the info now, it doesn’t affect the election and its easily ignored.
The declassification will happen slowly and deliberately, and I think we’ll see some question in the democrat primary debates about whether those candidates denounce Hillary’s behavior.

I also thought Page was a plant until I read that the lawyer representing him is Pat Buchanan’s brother.
I think the main points, among many are:
1. the whole thing seems to have been concocted by Brennan in the CIA
2. It was sold to the FBI, and they did little to no vetting of it, (Strok said there wss nothing there there, right?)
3. Mueller knew it was a big hoax even before the SC was formed.
4. It was sold to the FISA court as vetted document when it clearly wasn’t
5. susan Rice and others like McCabe signed off on it, rather than have it go thru the usual checks and balances.
