Children in Social Services System Most at Risk of Being Sex Trafficked

Among children reported as likely victims of child sex trafficking upon running away from home, most have one thing in common—they were supposed to be looked after by the government. In 2014, some 10,000 endangered runaway children were reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), a nonprofit that serves as a clearinghouse for reports on missing children. Nearly 1,700 of them were likely victims of sex trafficking and of those, 68 percent were in the care of social services when they went missing, be it a group home, a government facility, or foster care. While these sobering statistics have been reported for years by the NCMEC, more recent data suggests that the problem is even more acute.

AND THIS IS NEWS?.... we always have known that Foster Care was FULL of people who signed up just to get the $$, take the free things, and abuse and exploit the kids. NOTHING...substitutes a DAD and a MOM. Not two men or two women.

“Children in Social Services System Most at Risk of Being Sex Trafficked”

Hmmmm? Let’s check the logic of that statment.

Social services are essentially lib run outfits.

Libs are more apt to be engaged in criminal activity, especially anything sexually related.

Yup, that’s believable, and needless to say half the country will be voting for it.

Social service is quick to usurp parents and stick them in foster care too.

This is probably how a typical democrat feels when they wake up to the fact that their party has been effing them for years. And it’s a good argument for why Stockholm Syndrome is so prevalent amongst their ranks.

Also the kids are likely to be “troubled” already and so easy prey.

The old locally run orphanage system did a much better job of placing and raising unwanted children.

Orphans and similarly displaced children were traditionally cared for by faith communities. Orphanages were most often run by churches or Christian organizations / ministries.

While various denominations of Christianity have not always been successful in protecting children, they have done a much better job than the government.

This is an example of the government getting into the arena of religion. There is a difference between the government making laws against things like child abuse, or setting safety standards for buildings that house children, versus the government doing the charitable works on the taxpayers’ dime.

Best case scenario is that the government does the job inefficiently and wastefully with lots of bureaucratic red tape. Worst case there is lots of fraud, people get help who should not and people who need it and deserve it do not, and even further the power of the government leads to abuse like what this article addresses.
