Regretful Trump voters hard to come by in Michigan
Washington Examiner ^ | 31-05-19 | Daniel Allott

New Baltimore, MICH. — Robert Rasch had never voted for president before 2016. Then Donald Trump came along, and finally there was a candidate he could get excited about.

Rasch admired Trump’s business background and political courage. “For somebody to stand up and run for president that has no political background, that’s a set of brass,” he said.

Rasch is one of millions of so-called lost voters whom Trump coaxed back to the voting booth in 2016. Rasch has already decided he’ll be voting for Trump again in 2020, based largely on the president’s stewardship of the economy.

I would vote Trump and contribute to his campaign just for the entertainment value. That he is an excellent President is a nice bonus.

Middle class, typical suburban area off the shore of lake St. Clair. Hopefully the rest of Macomb county goes the same way. It gets pretty leftard (well, for Michigan, anyway) the further south you get.

I for one have seen nothing that makes me want to
change my vote for Trump.

I have however seen two
years of backstabbing and lying from the democrats
that bolsters my determination to never let them
get back in power again!

I not only voted for him, but donated and worked for the campaign and stood on a road overpass with Trump signs.

Democrats need to take note, that 2020 will not be a rerun of the 2016 campaign. Trump will have a four year track record to run on. Negative Democrat issues such as Russia and Stormy Daniels and tapes of private conversations containing profanity just aren’t cutting into Trump’s base.

I had to talk my sister into voting for Trump in 2016.

but now she’s all gung-ho.

Several times she has said, after reading positive economic news, this wouldn’t have happened without Trump.

In 2016, the Supreme Court is what convinced her to vote TRUMP.

She is fiercely pro-life, and I used that to convince her.

I said... are you seriously going to let Hillary Clinton put 2-4 Justices on the Supreme Court?!

IMHO vote fraud will be one of the biggest concerns. He won Michigan by only 10,000 votes or so. Very easy to overcome by ballots found in trunks, etc.

What is even better is the President Trump has a track record that will inspire even more non-voters to vote for him in 2020.

I know nobody who voted for Trump in 2016 who now regrets it.

I DO know some who voted third party and a few who voted for Hilary who have told me they regret not voting forTrump and will be sure to do so next time.

Things like shaking hands with all graduating seniors at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. = votes.

And, the thing is, Trump did it because he respects them.

It’s just a plus that it garners votes.

I had to talk my sister into voting for Trump in 2016.

This morning, on CSPAN’s Washington Journal, I heard a man from Ohio say that he didn’t actually like Trump back then, but enthusiastically supports him today.

Just think of all of the voters PDJT must have persuaded to join his MAGA agenda like your sister and this gentleman from the always crucial Buckeye State.

FYI
New Baltimore is in the heart of what was called the Reagan Democrats area of Michigan. Blue collar with many UAW voters.

I’m ashamed to admit that my brother never voted in his life and was not registered.

In the last Presidential election, he couldn’t get himself to the polls fast enough, to cast his ballot for Trump. He was practically tripping over his own feet to get there!

Knowing my brother (which you do not) who is the least ‘political person’ I know and who is really hard to MOVE.... on anything... it’s an incredible accomplishment!

He’s salivating to think of voting AGAIN for President Trump. I suspect he’s not unique in this.

Not a single 2016 Trump voter will not support him in2020.
However President Trump has gained probably around 30m voters who see through the lies and smears of the Fake News Media

I expect Trump to win at least 45 states. 49 is possible.

POTUS also shook all the hands of the graduates at the Air Force Academy in Colorado yesterday!!!

God bless our Commander-in-Chief.

Cannot wait to cast my vote for his reelection next year.
Just wish my blue state of Maryland would wake up and add its electoral votes to his column as well.
