Dodge made a Duster? I’m pretty
sure the Dodge brand was a Demon.

Sweet. Back before OPEC turned American cars into crap.

Shucks. Amoco or Sunoco high test was $0.31.9 per gallon and you could burn your whole paycheck on a Friday night in one of these beasts. OPEC and politicians certainly had their hands in the demise of muscle cars, and certainly quickened it , but the doom of 6 or 7 miles per gallon ground pounders was bound to come anyway. Now you need $70,000 plus to join this club, and even someone with those means can only drive them in parades and special events, and then only rarely.

Yup. I knew it. Just tired or not thinking at the time.

“The Duster was a success for Plymouth, so much so that in 1971 Dodge requested and received their own version, the Demon.

In response, Plymouth was given a version of the Dodge Dart Swinger 2-door hardtop named the Plymouth Valiant Scamp.”

I'd be interested in knowing the original owner history and why there are so few miles on the odometer.

Maybe owned by a young man who never made it back from Vietnam and the parents just stored it in his memory?

Being familiar with that area and knowing how popular hot cars were in that day and the miles between towns, 20,000 miles is nothing......

1984 Chrysler LeBaron

IMO, by that time (1980s), American cars had already reached the peak and were headed over the cliff, at least styling-wise.

I think this is a more recent Chrysler LeBaron, turned lowrider...

IMO, definitely an improvement over the stock original.
