Reminds me of my son when he played in high school. His car was parked down the left field line in the parking lot. He was at bat and hit a log foul ball that dented the roof of his own SUV. What are the chances? Especially when there were about 30 cars in that lot. Wow! Probably a whole lot higher than simply 30-1.

And your son's story reminds me of one of my own.

Never considered myself much of a hitter, but one time, back in the '70s, playing softball on a concrete softball field, hit a strong line drive that just cleared the high fence along the left field line. The 6-inch or so wide softball struck the sloped rear window of a parked 1970's car, ricocheted off it hard and broke the large front window of a house roughly 20-feet to the left of the car!

Back in the late 60’s in Seattle,IRRC, there was a car dealer who would beat cars with a sledge hammer in his TV ads.

He actually sold several of the cars to buyers who wanted a car in the ad. Imagine that.

As a KC resident who takes a passing interest in the KC Royals, Moose was one of the real good guys near as I could tell.

We love ours!

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone's sense of tastes. I'm an old-school guy who just hates what he sees happening to our once great (American) culture in so many ways. I'm sure it's a fine vehicle in terms of mechanics, safety, comfort, durability, gas mileage, etc.

As I mentioned earlier, it's nothing so-much specific about this SUV. I dislike the looks of all of them, or darn near all of them. Same for the common, also 'rounded', 2 and 4-door sedans we see everywhere today. In both cases, you can hardly tell one manufacturer's version from the other. Yet it seems like the only types of vehicles available today.

Reminds me a bit of that old Twilight Zone episode where a young girl in a futuristic new world has a choice between only two body styles for her government-forced "makeover", number 8 or 12.

Anyway, after a few shots of "Instant Smile" she finally decides upon #8.
