One of the only things that can ruin hitting a home run is watching your ball fly over the fence and hit a car, but that made things even better for Milwaukee Brewer Mike Moustakas on Sunday.
Moustakas slammed one into center field in the eighth inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates that broke a 2-2 tie and landed on the roof of a Toyota Rav4.
It wasnt parked there by a clueless owner but was part of a promotion to give it away if a Brewer hit it with a ball, which Moustakas learned after the fact.
"I didn't know that I actually won somebody a car until afterwards," Moustakas said.
"You came to a ballgame and leave with a car is pretty cool."
Season ticket holder Mark Gruber was the lucky winner.
He wont be driving a car with a dent in the roof, though, because theyll give him a brand new one at the stadium on June 20.

Ugly friggin thing, IMO. Would be happy as hell to have won it, but I'd trade it in or sell it asap.

Even the remarkable Pontiac Aztek is attractive at that price point.

I’m sure mechanically and otherwise it’s a pretty good reliable vehicle. I was merely referring to its looks. Of course that is just my opinion. Then I hate the looks of damn near every automobile of the past 35 or so years!
In any case, I wish her all the best with it.

Actually, one would leave with a car and a $10k tax bill. Most people who win cars in promotions like this have to sell the car to pay the taxes. Still much better than not winning it at all, though.

Reminds me of my son when he played in high school. His car was parked down the left field line in the parking lot. He was at bat and hit a log foul ball that dented the roof of his own SUV. What are the chances? Especially when there were about 30 cars in that lot.
