Former NFL star Kellen Winslow Jr., 35, was convicted on Monday of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman in Encinitas last May by a jury in Southern California.
Winslow was also found guilty of indecent exposure toward the woman and of lewd conduct.
But the jury remained deadlocked on six other felony charges, including two more counts of rape involving a 54-year-old hitchhiker last year and an unconscious 17-year-old girl in 2003.

A homeless woman, eh? We’re told rape is about power and control, and not criminal insanity. Winslow proves the latter is the case.
Maybe they forgot to take him to Sunday School. Just one of thousands of poor role models influencing children over the years.
Another one of those WTH moments involving an NFLer. Makes me wonder if NFL-related head trauma might be a contributing factor.

Some just need to be swinging from the rope.
Too many good athletes have their egos nurtured all through school. Then the Pros throw a million or two their way and “Hey, I am the MAN! I can do anything I want!”
And yesterday another NFL (from U of Florida) player was charged with murder. He was charged with murdering his wife in 2016. He played on the Gators with Aaron Hernandez. (My nephew played against him in high school.)
He’s a common lowlife thug... it’s not testosterone - that trashes all men. Not a lot of men going around raping powerless homeless women...
An absolute human dirt bag—needs to be put him away for life. His father is a class act; junior grew up hearing how “special” he was and coddled by coaches from junior high onward, and I’m sure he thrived in the thug culture of the “U.” Apparently Young Winslow selected serial rapist as his retirement career, and now he can cool his heels in a maximum security prison.
Hope the victims have some recourse in civil litigation and can collect whatever money Jr. has left in the bank.
Certain demographics, including criminals tend to have high testosterone. Also tends to run inversely with intelligence in men (while associated with intelligence in women, though of course at liwer relative levels.)
