Breastfeeding mom said she was kicked out of Texas City public pool

A Texas City woman said she was hurt and ashamed after being ordered to leave a city pool Sunday for breastfeeding her baby. Misty Daugereaux said she was nursing her 10-month-old son Maxx at the Nessler Family Aquatic Center.

The thing that irks me here is that Texas law makes what this mom did absolutely legal. Yet the city employees and worse, the police, don’t care about the law and instead just made up and enforced their own law.

Texas law enforcement seems to do the same thing with people who lawfully carry firearms, too.

People get unlawfully stopped for ID checks just because they’re carrying and in some idiot Texas towns people have been threatened at gunpoint by police and even arrested for lawful carry.

Well, in defense of the pool management, breastfeeding the child uncovered IN THE KIDDY POOL was likely not the best location in the Aquatic Center to choose.

Of course, there were probably worse areas to breastfeed...for example the deep end of the pool.
