I never got to take off in a twin but did get to the point of being ready to solo in a single engine. The torque of the engine caused the plane to try to rotate and you had to step on the rudder pedal to counter it on takeoff. I can see where an engine failure on takeoff could get hairy quick on a twin.

Yeah, but you need to consider in a twin the yaw component. So, if one engine dies, it’s like a barndoor hanging off that wing, while the other engine continues pulling. You must IMMEDIATELY correct, including prop feathering and power, or it will spin you in.
