“resembling both a comet and an asteroid”

So they don’t even know if it will be captured by the Sun?
That’s incedible. Basic math.

If the government admitted aliens exist, then they would no longer be the "penultimate power" that would be able to compete with God as masters of the universe!!!!

Lack of alien disclosure only occurs in such a dips-hit empire state we currently live in...

in the god damned 1800's more people beloved in ALIENS than NOW and they didn't freak out about it either..."Like the brooking institute report claimed they would"...

An all powerful government will not disclose that any power exist greater than it, why do you think they try to destroy God/Religion all the time, hmmm????

So they don’t even know if it will be captured by the Sun?

That got me interested, too.

=================================================

"Based on observations spanning 34 days, ʻOumuamua's orbital eccentricity is 1.20, the highest ever observed. An eccentricity exceeding 1.0 means an object exceeds the Sun's escape velocity, is not bound to the Solar System and may escape to interstellar space.

While an eccentricity slightly above 1.0 can be obtained by encounters with planets, as happened with the previous record holder, C/1980 E1, ʻOumuamua's eccentricity is so high that it could not have been obtained through an encounter with any of the planets in the Solar System. Even undiscovered planets in the Solar System, if any should exist, could not account for ʻOumuamua's trajectory nor boost its speed to the observed value. For these reasons, ʻOumuamua can only be of interstellar origin." Wiki

Average speed of Oumuamua = 5.55 AU/year relative to sun (per wiki)

Ar 1.2 I guess the crux is what surface it presents to the ‘solar wind’.
Interesting... I hope it’s captured.

Whenever I see a photo of Dukoveny know I think of the episode where the guy is going to play him for a movie - and he really wants to get into the role.

Something like:

“So which side?”

“Huh?”

“Which side do you dress to?”

“Oh - mostly to the left I suppose.”

“MOSTLY!?”

“Most of the TIME!”

And Tia Leone is playing Scully, and in the background she is running back and forth in high-heels trying to get out Scully runs in them!

Shandling played the role (they were buddies) if memory serves, and Tea was his wife at the time and probably needed some work.

Oh, you meant that pic? I agree. Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is a blast, regardless of the content of his shows, it’s obvious that DD enjoyed meeting him. The pic was snagged off GT’s Twitter feed I think.
