An Indiana man who was convicted of killing his 3-month-old son was punched in the face by the baby’s uncle in court Wednesday.
Kwin Boes was sentenced to 25 years -- 19 years in prison and six on work release as part of a plea deal, according to FOX59.
Boes was also ordered to pay for the child’s funeral expenses, WEVV-TV reported.
As Boes was walking out of court on Wednesday, video captured a man, later identified as Jeremiah Hartley, heading toward him and punching him in the face.
Boes was left bloodied and one of his sandals went flying.
“He’s going through some things. He’s upset anyway,” the boy’s grandmother Lisa Hartley told WEVV-TV of Jeremiah.
“That really upset him just to see him come out; I don’t know if he heard how much time he got or if he was just upset about his nephew.
This is a horrible crime.”
Hartley was taken away in handcuffs and faces 179 days in jail for contempt and a misdemeanor battery charges from the state, the station reported.

He should have been sentenced to life in prison, no parole.
Killing an innocent baby should get an appropriate punishment.

I wondered how and why a father would punch his three month old son in the face while in court.
They gave the uncle 6 months in jail for contempt of court and are working on further charges of battery?!
Some punishment was warranted obviously but six months for a crime of passion?! Especially when the perp should’ve gotten the death penalty.

To bad the Uncle wasn’t given 10 minutes mano-to-mano and maybe the taxpayers wouldn’t have the burden of housing and feeding this POS for far too many years.

I’d pay a few inmate families a few dollars to get the little coward a life of hell day in and day out.

The uncle should have killed the POS father.
He should claim he’s the childs mother. He’ll have everyone instead trying to undstand why he did it, and get a sentence 2/3 less or more than what a guy gets.
Baby killers have a special place in prison. He might not last a month. Hopefully
