I disagree....it was her mouth that should have kept shut during a competitive event....this reflected on her team which singled her own ‘personal’ political views openly and should have never been spoken during the events.
He is responsible for his response; she for her statements. We already know she’s anti-American and lacks class by the way they celebrated against Thailand. She is a 20 something athlete. he is the president. i hold him to a higher standard.

If you are not too busy you might do a little research on how many sports teams including their owners, coaches and management are 100% pro-American. No Trump Haters allowed.

The only standard I have for Trump is that he does his best to accomplish what he has said he’ll do for this country. I hired him to fight whoever stands in the way....and that includes self centered outspoken sports people who abuse their positions for political purposes.

This issue has strangely divided my family - the younger members agree that players like the vile rapino should be able to kneel if they so-wish, or tell the American president they aren’t going to the f-ing White House if the team should win - that that is their right and privilege as an American, that it is, in fact, everything we stand for.
They don’t see this as an issue of utmost disrespect to the American people, the American Flag, American values or the American president.
The older ones see this as anti-American, whatever they may think or feel about Trump. Rapino and those of her ilk are vile, just like Starbuck’s action against the cops in Tempe, Arizona - and Nike who bowed to the likes of Colin Kaepernick.
I won’t spend my hard earned dollars on anything or anyone that supports this abomination and spits in the face of the country that has afforded them the opportunity and ability to succeed as they have.
Each should be forced to spend a good block of time in Cuba or Saudi Arabia and see what a true oppressive state looks like.
