When I was in Cote Ivoire, consulting, while out in the field one of the locals took off, grabbed something by the tail and was swinging around like a bucket with water in it so it wouldn’t bite him. A rather interesting hunting technique.
It was a rather large rodent, more like a possem and a delicacy. Never ate it that I know of... ..
Kedjenou (a ragout with chunks of meat): The meat could be wild game, chicken, or goat and it also includes chopped onions, tomatoes, and fresh ginger. Be specific about what type of meat you want or you might end up with agouti (a rodent known as the Grass Cutter or Greater Cane Rat). Its an Ivorian delicacy.

For dinner, the guide took them a local ‘truck stop’ with a communal bench.
Taking notice of some local specialty, they all went all in for it.
The beer was cold and the food tasty until...
They noticed small tufts of fur on the ‘frog legs’????
None of them died or anything.
