Steve Bansbach, who works for Chicago’s CPB office, said the passenger had admitted that he was carrying the rat meat on his journey from the Ivory Coast.

“He declared it,” Bansbach said to Fox News. “He claimed he had meat during inspection. We found that, yes, he had African rat meat — 32 pounds of it.”

I don't usually go for rat meat... But when I do, I prefer the best from the Ivory Coast!

If he wants to eat rat meat here in the United States, we have plenty of McDonalds, Burger Kings, and chinese restaurants to chose from

32lbs sounds like a lot. And why?

When I was in Cote Ivoire, consulting, while out in the field one of the locals took off, grabbed something by the tail and was swinging around like a bucket with water in it so it wouldn’t bite him. A rather interesting hunting technique.

It was a rather large rodent, more like a possem and a delicacy. Never ate it that I know of...…………………..

Kedjenou (a ragout with chunks of meat): The meat could be wild game, chicken, or goat and it also includes chopped onions, tomatoes, and fresh ginger. Be specific about what type of meat you want or you might end up with agouti (a rodent known as the Grass Cutter or Greater Cane Rat). It’s an Ivorian delicacy.

Chicago beats out New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C., as America’s ‘rat capital’

Unfortunately, I’m just 25 short klicks to the west.

More illegal immigrants. In this case more dead, as opposed to live, Democrat voters.

Never ate it that I know of...…………………..

Some Army friends were sightseeing in the Philippines on IIRC a tuk-tuk. A hot and dusty ride; developed a thirst and frequent stops to stay ‘hydrated’.

For dinner, the guide took them a local ‘truck stop’ with a communal bench.
Taking notice of some local specialty, they all went all in for it.

The beer was cold and the food tasty until...
They noticed small tufts of fur on the ‘frog legs’????

None of them died or anything.
