I saw it a few weeks back, and it was still entertaining, and from a historical perspective was correct for the times..............and I’m a motorcyclist..............

Several of the movies from that era and genre had the same type ending as Easy Rider:

Electra Glide in Blue, Vanishing Point, Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry (also a Fonda movie), Joe, and a few others................

It was an okay movie-but it seemed cluttered with too many messages so that there wasn’t really a clear one-Electra Glide in Blue is my favorite movie of that genre/type...

Vanishing Point was GREAT. A lot of the other movies listed and this one (Easy Rider) were all really depressing. They made for great social commentary, but really lousy entertainment. And since most people go to movies to be entertained... glad that particular desire of Hollywood, trashing traditional values and anything non-progressive, got a little more sophisticated over the years.
