The final scene was part of Hollywood’s agenda to create division between normal Americans (portrayed as evil rednecks) and abnormal Americans (portrayed as normal).

It was all about forcing the counterculture on us.

Normal American rednecks built our country, but they want people to hate our country. So normal Americans are portrayed as deranged and the anti-redneck bigotry is created.

So, murdering strangers on motorcycles with shotguns for no particular reason is ‘normal’?..........

The motion picture industry was from almost its beginning strongly influenced by leftism. The Catholic Church had a strong impact on curbing the portrayal of sexual immorality in the 1930s and thereafter, but before the industry self regulated in face of church pressure, there were frequent instances of illicit sex and questionable moral behavior

There was a considerable conservative influence in the industry up through the 1970s: John Wayne, Gary Cooper, Walter Brennan, Ginger Rogers, Ayn Rand, and Morris Ryskind come to mind. About the time of Easy Rider, the Left went from a factor into dominance and after 2005 or so, as censorial as Stalin or Goebbels.

When it comes to the mass media, we need to never feed the beast. Pray that Trump and his allies will rein in the tyrants in social media.

Ive tried to watch it a couple of times and never made it to the end. All these years I thought I was missing something. I guess I did get it and it really was just crap all along.

Yup, that's exactly what they tried to get us to think.

That the counterculture was good and that rednecks were bad.

But all I saw in the movie was an empty script matching the vapid counterculture it was trying to promote.

You can spot the agenda in a story by who the bad guys are.
