If you believe that taking the Lord’s name in vain is simply saying “God” or “Lord” then you are sorely mistaken.
Taking the Lord’s name in vain means do not abuse His authority.
God’s name is not “God”, that is His title.
As is “Lord”
As is “Master”
As is “Good Shepherd”
As is “Saviour”
Exactly...Asking God to damn something is NOT taking His name in vain...It is asking for His help....
“I am that I am” is what God told Moses to call him. Admittedly, to use course language in front of pious folks is self defeating when soliciting their vote. But Trump is Patton. He is in many ways flawed, but that is exactly why God is working through him. I see no other explanation for Trump being where he is right now. We must let Patton (Trump) be Trump (Patton).
