top picture isn't Mueller. Doesn't look like him plus that's not a Marine utility.(Marines went to camo jungle utilities) That's Army fatigue.
Marines wore rank on utility collar & on their cover. Army wore rank on sleeve in the picture. Mueller was an officer vs. enlisted rank on arm sleeve.
also, the picture is not not Mueller according to snopes, who supposedly contacted the actual soldier in the picture.
Snopes used a lot of incorrect info in this article.

He couldn't have joined in 1968 - gone to boot camp\ocs\ranger school\jump school and still go to nam in July 1968.
Wired has better info, and better time-lines to make all the above fit but it's un-verified and Mueller don't talk about it.

Thanks for correcting. I just grabbed a duck duck go search photo, cause his military background was the big talking point when he was brought in.
BTW, I suspected the destruction of him would happen during the hearings. Anyone who listened to his initial presser on the report could tell that even without taking questions and reading from a script, he was totally out of it. Those thinking he was faking being befuddled are wrong. He was more lucid when answering Rat questions because he'd been rehearsed and mostly kept to very short responses. It was like watching the difference between Chris Evans during a movie and during an interview. You don't realize how dumb he is until he has to think of an answer instead of reading a script.
Anyway, ON to the new thread.
