FULL TITLE: The Brady Bunch cast REUNITE as the sitcom celebrates its 50th Anniversary... after joining forces to restore the show's iconic $1.8m house

The Brady Bunch cast have reunited ahead of the iconic sitcom's 50th Anniversary, as they promoted the TV special A Very Brady Renovation on Thursday.

The six actors who played the children of the blended family took to the stage at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour for a panel to promote the series which sees them renovate the Studio City home that appeared heavily in the show.

Barry Williams (who played Greg Brady), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Susan Olsen (Cindy) seemed delighted to be brought back together, five decades after making their debut in the series.

This past November, the six on-screen siblings teamed up with HGTV to restore the $3.5 million split-level ranch to took centre stage in the sitcom, recreating each room to be an exact replica of how it looked in the series.

While the California home was only used for the exterior and never for the interior scenes of the show, the group gutted the structure to turn it into what would have been the real Brady abode.

Each Brady actor was responsible for recreating one or two rooms from the original show with the help of a professional crew.

The home famously sparked a bidding war when it went up for sale in 2018, with stars including Miley Cyrus and singer Lance Bass lobbying to buy the $1.8 million property before HGTV swooped in with the winning offer.

Fact: Peter Brady was the only main character to have brown eyes. Maybe that’s I found him so groovy.

Not alone in the cheering section. WE have a small lounge at my gym where a lot of golf fans gather to watch. Many of us are this enthusiastic. A great shot is a thing of beauty. If you haven’t played golf, you might not know how extremely difficult it is. Guys who play in the “Majors” can do incredible things. Impossible things.

While I never liked or watched the show, I did catch snippets of it at friends’ houses over the years. That is an interesting and actually clever exercise in home renovation - I would watch it if I still had cable.

If you haven’t played golf,

Played for almost 40 years .

I found it boring during the years Tiger Woods left the tour due to injuries. Tiger Woods WAS the PGA tour, like it or not, TV viewership dropped dramatically also. Now that he's back, I have renewed interest on watching the tournaments he is playing in.

With that being said, it's time to allow fan participation at the tournaments as they have done for the Professional Bowlers Association tour........

If these PGA professionals are that good, there's no reason why the fans can't cheer during their tee shots and subsequent shots from the fairways and putts.......

I’ve never seen her “nasty”, but she likes her late night wine. That’s when it gets fun and gossipy. She is on the conservative side of politics and got banned from Facebook for a while last year for rightfully giving a lefty radio show “friend” some earned crap. Of course, the “progressive” played the race card and she got booted from her frequent shots on that show. She’s a fierce anti islamist and is extraordinarily bright. I should invite her over here to FR.

The girls’ bedroom goes at least 3/4 around the house - possibly all around the house. In various episodes, the girls look out their bedroom window, and see the front yard, the back yard, and at least one side yard.

I think the boys’ bedroom has no windows at all.

Mike Brady was quite an architect.

Thanks for enhancing my post so beautifully.

Brady Bunch was one of my all-time favorite shows.

Being born in 1960, I’m right between Jan and Bobby (Eve Plumb and Mike Lookinland).

So said that all three adult stars (Robert Reed, Florence Henderson and Ann B. Davis) are no longer with us.

Thanks again for your pictures from Alice’s room.

I love that Shane Lowery won that, what a great victory!

Too bad Rory crashed and burned...

I find the show a guilty pleasure. I am stunned with what they get away with.

Ironically, Cousin Oliver (Robbie Rist) is the only one of ‘em who has much of an acting career these days. Fellow gets a lot of voice work.

When i was a kid in the 1970s, i was being raised in an abusive, dysfunctional home. I turned towards watching lots of tv as a way to provide myself with escape and comfort from my misery (we were also dirt poor and this entertainment was at least free of charge).

I watched many daily syndicated reruns of classic tv shows. But out of all of them, brady bunch was my number one favorite. I just loved the portrayal of a nice, normal, loving, happy, stable family.

Oh, even as a kid i KNEW they werent a real family. I knew they were just a bunch of actors playing a part. And i KNEW their picture perfect existence and storylines were far from reality. Speaking as someone who was being raised in a abusive, dysfunctional home, i think i knew that better than most. BUT i also knew that the fictional brady bunch, the way their family acted towards each other, was how a family was supposed to behave. The fictional brady bunch family was far more closer to normal than mine ever was.

It is tough growing up like that.

The media likes to poke fun at “Leave It To Beaver” and shows like that. It was actually very close to what our family really was like.

I built a transmitter when I was twelve, and we hooked it up in my friend’s garage to jam Family Affair if it was our sisters’ turn to pick the show.

The Rat Patrol was just as bad now that I have watched them as an adult, but hey, machine guns.

If you saw “The Brady Bunch” movies they did, ALL of Mike’s architectural renderings (regardless of what they were for) looked exactly like the house.
