I'm with you there. If it were up to me, I wouldn't even have the AC on except maybe on especially hot nights. I've spent much of this summer out on my deck catching up on some reading and taking long walks. Heading to the beach next week for four days.

I do enough sitting inside during the winter. Summer, I need to be outdoors as much as possible.

I'm okay with hot weather, but here in Phoenix, it has been 110-115 routinely, and a lot of people kind of have problems when it goes above 105, including my Canadian wife.

The authoress of the piece appears to be in Texas, either Houston or Dallas. Take 100 degrees and add the humidity that Phoenix doesn't have, and it might be less pleasant than Connecticut, Oregon or Michigan for many this time of year.
