My unlimited data plan isn’t that expensive, or at least it’s worth the cost. But I’d put the phone or iPad away in a nice restaurant!
I already have two DSL lines that provide “unlimited data” [at a low data rate; one each at two compounds where we spend most of our time.]
Our wireless “plan” has a fixed monthly [shared among 4 devices] data limit that is higher than any currently available plan below “unlimited”.
Wireless Data should be getting cheaper each year [sorta a Moore’s Law thing], but it is NOT.
I tend to stay away from wireless data as it is so much cheaper at home. [or at free wifi spots].
5G will NOT be an improvement in cost effectiveness much less provide better coverage away from ‘Rat Urban Utopias.
