Donald Trump on Wednesday accused Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of being 'nasty' when she said his plan to buy Greenland was 'absurd.'
The president told reporters on the South lawn her statement on the matter 'was nasty' during a 35-minute, free wheeling exchange that included his thoughts on gun background checks, Israel, the New York Times, China and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
'I thought that the prime minister's statement that it was absurd - that it was an absurd idea - was nasty. I thought it was an inappropriate statement. All she had to do is say no, we wouldn't be interested,' he said.
'She shouldn't treat the United States that way. She said absurd. That's not the right word to use. Absurd,' he noted.

There is a Muslim scourge running through Europe and she wants to blame Trump for buying Greenland? Good God, where are her priorities? Maybe they should put all the Muslims in Europe on Greenland. That would be smart thinking — make Mohammad come to the mountain in Greenland. Mohammad is probably thinking, “Why did I bother with the Arabs? I should have gone to Greenland.” That would have saved a lot of bloodshed. And Greenland is a very secluded place for religious worship, unless visited by the Vikings.

Most of the article talks about the melting ice this summer as if ice should not melt in the summer. Climate change all over the article. Voodoo science. Meanwhile, expect to hear more on this project, Trump is a master negotiator and we have not heard the end of this.

Not sure why the PM’s response was “nasty” and all other past comments from various foreign leaders about the U.S. did not upset him in this manner. These are the things that make me cringe as I wait for the positive outcome. What’s the game here?
