Keep in mind that what works on KDE linux will work on mint, cinnamon and reverse. It’s pretty cool how it will go fetch everything extra you need to make everything work and make it compatible.
Again... I highly suggest you give the mint cinnamon a shot. It comes boxed with everything you asked about at the start here in this conversation. I think you will be quite surprised with how comprehensive it really is.
You can always scratch it and then choose KDE. But you might go back... :)
You can actually replicate the KDE desktop in the mint cinnamon with the boxed tools.
