I understand the discomfort. But, post pubescent 14-17 year old females are “illegal” only because, as the term indicates, some lawmakers decided to make them illegal at that age. If these women are voluntarily accepting money for sex, then they are what they are.

I don’t think it is just “some lawmakers”. I think it reflects societal norms and values of this time.
We live in a strange age.
Sex between minors and adults is strongly discouraged and illegal. Which is of course good.
But sex among these same minors is encouraged and taught in schools and throughout society.
These are not legally adults.
If you judge them guilty of adult misbehavior - whoredom - them to be consistent you must say, they should vote. They should not have to go to school. They should operated dangerous machinery and be eligible for the draft. They should hold credit cards and sign any enforceable contract. They should be liable for adult punishment for crime including the death penalty. They should work in hazardous occupations like chemical plants or with nuclear power. They should drive buses and pilot airplanes and trains.
They should decide if they want to drink or smoke. They should have sex with anyone they want to and be allowed to do porn and access porn...
IF NOT then they really aren’t fully cognizant adults now are they?
An adult can coerce a child to do ANYTHING. if a ten year old is coerced with candy to perform fellatio is he a whore? If a twelve year old is coerced to pose for porn because she’s afraid she’ll fail her grade if she doesn’t is she a whore? If a fourteen year old desperate for popularity starts shagging a pimp is she a whore? If a sixteen year old sleeps with a forty year old because he will house her as she is a runaway from an abusive home is she a whore?
At what age will you say “no, that’s still a kid, he is just being exploited and abused and raped?”
As a society we have said 17 and below. There is good physical and developmental reason for this. If you’d like to lower it please look into WHY. Why do you believe someone 17 or younger is mature enough to actually prostitute herself?
