Yeah, well, it kinda confused me why conservative folks even give a damn about someone voluntarily removing their stupidness from the gene pool but it became obvious to me that we care a lot more about the propagation of the species and their own health and the life of their child than they do.

I have been praying outside of abortion clinics since 1978 (yes, over 40 year) --- on and off, mind you, not continuously! --- so yes, I have a lot of experience. And I have only seen pro-lifers actually yelling at a woman at a clinic, --- I mean yelling at the woman, not raising their voices on the other side of the street --- about 3 or 4 times.

And on each of those 3 or 4 times, the organizer of the prayer vigil approached the "yellers" and gently but firmly told them they must either stop yelling, or leave the sidewalk.

The international group 40 Days for Life --- absolutely worth a click --- like many other lifesaving groups, requires their participants to sign a Statement of Peace, pledging not to confront, yell, name-call, make physical contact, or in any way incite or participate in anything that could provoke violence.

This reflects what many other FReepers have said, that the idea is to get the woman to approach you, not to run away from you.

This actually is effective. 40 Days, since 2007, has helped over 16,000 women turn away from an impending abortion --- and those are the known cases, who knows how many more?

Abortion is indeed murder, but it is in some ways unlike any other kind of murder. The principal difference is this: the potential victim is utterly physically helpless and INSIDE of the potential perpetrator. There is no way to rescue, reach, or help the baby in any way, unless you first gain the mom's permission and trust.

You can only embrace the baby by loving the woman whose body already embraces him.

People who have abortions --- as you now know, I guess --- are not "removing their stupidness from the gene pool." They are just trying to solve their personal problems by killing innocent little kids.

More than that. The “Screamers” are usually there not so much to end abortion but for self gratification. They are almost the pharisees of the pro life world. “Look at me, look at me, see I’m so good I’m here trying to end abortion and stop these whores from killing their unborn baby”

Don’t get me wrong, yes the “Screamers” want to end abortion but their primary goal is to be seen, to be heard.

They are seen, they are heard but the do the most damage. It’s the ones that call out “let us help you” with material in hand that do the most good.

That's pretty-much what I do, and read scripture (sometimes sing hymns), and engage in quiet discussion if a door is open.

I don't berate those that display graphic signs, and if a pro-lifer gets obnoxious I just move away - I'm not the sidewalk police.

Different people are different, and I just pray that nothing will detract from the message of Life that God is trying to get across using "imperfect vessels" like ourselves (or "cracked pots", if you will).

You are so right. There are aspects of 21st Century America which successfully incline too many to think they have a right to instant and continuous emotional self-gratification.

Paradoxically, that's the same fault exhibited in many of the abortion-enthusiasts (like Alyssa Milano): the idea they have an unquestioned RIGHT to do whatever they "feel" that they "have to do" in order to feel better.

Procedural Justice DOES sound like Socialist Justice. Specific focus on “giving people a voice”. Like siding with Communist AF when they beat up people who gather to say “don’t tear down historic statues or change old street names”?

Flynn was issued what’s called documented counseling from the patrol captain, the first step in the department’s concept of progressive discipline. Thody also ordered that Flynn be retrained, with a specific focus on “giving people a voice,” he said.
