This country has been pussy-footing around the concept of a comprehensive reform of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which is in actuality a dog whistle for "do nothing." Meanwhile, our porous borders are allowing criminals, drugs, and disease to enter this country with the force of a flood! Keep this in mind: Abraham Lincoln is often paraphrased as saying, “The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.”
Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the President to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” This clause, known as the Take Care Clause, requires the President to enforce all constitutionally valid Acts of Congress, regardless of his own Administration’s view of their wisdom or policy.
At this time the Congress and certain states are in violation of U.S. Code Title 8 (Aliens and Nationality). These violators protect illegal immigrants by providing aid to them, abetting them, failing to stop them and granting them benefits even our own homeless are not entitled to. In effect, they totally neglect Title 8 of the U.S. Code, which is a crime and a misdemeanor costing U.S. taxpayers over 100 billion dollars this year to date. The violators include almost every Democratic representative, and Blue State elected official providing sanctuary.
Why in the name of all that is good in this country does our President not arrest and prosecute the elected officials responsible for this criminal activity? I consider such failure an impeachment act in and of itself!
