Did you see Phoenix in “The Master” ? If anyone can top Ledgers Joker, it would be Phoenix imo. It’s my kind of movie for sure. Kind of a “Taxi Driver “ for the 21st century. I wish people would calm down- it’s just a movie.

No. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen him in other movies, but I can’t remember any off the top of my head. He certainly has a solid rep as a good actor, though.
I just started watching it now. He’s certainly odd so far.
I saw the Master with my son who is a director of TV and film. It is true thhat Phoenix did a masterful job in his role; but in the end I did not like the movie because the people in it were not likable nor did the have any redeeming qualities in my opinion. There was ultimately nothing to like about the characters or the story in that movie. For those who may not be familiar with the film it was a loosely desquised story of the founder of the church of scientology.
Phoenix is an excellent, excellent actor.
