No doubt. My alma mater, CSULB, is axing the 49er mascot and the prezzy just sent a email declaring the school’s support of illegals. Hopefully the USC administration will starting drifting toward competent, if misguided, leadership at least.
I happened to be in Long Beach when I heard that they were eliminating Prospector Pete. After a stop at Joe Jost’s We went to the bookstore and bought up the only remaining pennants they had with Pete on them. I still have a few if you want one.
Removing the huge statue of Prospector Pete and renaming the Nugget cafe, the newspaper, etc. will cost money--money that could have gone for worthy causes such as fixing up aging structures. Giving into snowflakes' complaints about "racism' can prove costly.
