Again, not our problem. The plan should be to become energy independent (which we are very close to being), and let the Shias and Sunnis blow each other up. We’ve wasted way too many lives and way too much treasure in that part of the world already.
“A mission to decapitate...”. Curious because I could very easily see how Iranian leaders would very much construe that as an actual “Act of War’ and I could also easily see how they might react to that in “the conventional sense” and seriously undertake to kill as many Americans as they possibly could. I seem to remember a Marine Barracks in Lebanon where we apparently failed to learn the lesson previously.

No. I’m doing my best to remember the lessons we should have all learned, especially since the anniversary of 911 was just last week. Remember how we destroyed Iraq and handed over their dictator to be hanged? And then we started 0bama’s “good” war in Afghanistan? And then remember how we learned ten years later it was the Saudis the whole time? And our own FBI (read Mueller and COmey) KNEW it the whole time and LIED to us? Boston Marathon bomber was quickly flown back to Saudi? Remember?
I’m sick of it. If this nation ever again goes to War we should insist from Day #1 what that means is killing every single one of them we can get our hands on. Until they “cry uncle” and there can never be any debate or question about who won. Because anything less never accomplishes the objective. Our grandparents knew this stuff.
I am sick of doves (libertarian?) like you. Nobody is suggesting a land invasion of Iran. But there is a lot of military options that can be taken between an invasion and doing nothing, you are fool and a tool.
Dove? I’m no dove. Aren’t you hearing what I have been saying? My position is that if we ever go to war again it should be the “good old fashioned” kind of war. You know, the kind where we kill so many of them they are begging for us to stop? The kind you actually win and have a parade when it is done? Does ANYONE remember those?
I would submit all we need is ONE of those kinds of wars to convince everybody that nobody wants war anymore. At least for a long, long time.
Give me that kind of war and I’ll get my old uniforms back out of the closet!
