A man spat twice in the face of a fellow straphanger as the doors of a subway car closed at 34th Street in Manhattan, thinking he was in the clear because his target was still on the train, video shows.
But his target was able to pry the doors back open — and ran out onto the platform and pummeled him unconscious, according to the footage, which was posted on Reddit.
“He’s livid! It’s over!” the person filming the clash can be heard saying of the spat-on man.

Looks to me like the victim was just trying to help by removing a few of the peeps teeth so the perp could spit easier.
there is a backstory. cant remember it. spitting dude did something to other guy prior to this. some kind of altercation

The spitter got off light if you ask me.
As the vid starts it looks like large black fellow is refusing to let small paler-skinned fellow (Asian? Hispanic? White?) get on the train? But there’s a bicycle there’s too, so maybe there was a kerfuffle about getting OFF the train with the bike? Who knows.
Whatever it was, I think spitting in someone’s face is one of those things where if you DON’T get brutally pummeled then there was an injustice.

And, the man showed restraint by eventually stopping himself.
Public transportation stinks.

I guarantee it was the second spitting that sealed his fate.
I would contribute to the guys legal fund to f he has to defend himself in court.

Pretty sure it’s hard to spit for someone who gets their jaw wired shut.
The one and only thing that could have made that better would have been if the black guy (the spittee) was wearing a MAGA cap or a Trump t-shirt. As it stands, the a-hole spitter got his karma, good and hard. Maybe the next a-hole thinking of doing that will think twice.
