Baylor severed ties to the Southern Baptist Convention years ago. It has gone down more and more since.
I will say that two of the hottest girls I ever knew went there. They are both Grandparents now.

They severed ties with the southern Baptists when they had the fundamentalist 4000 year earth takeover. They remained under the sane Texas Baptist general convention.
The heretic SBC takeover is cynically called “conservative” to capitalize on Reagan’s 80’s. The leaders have finally been outted as perverts and homos.
This so called conservative movement in SBC attacked the small town Baptist churches of the 1960s and 70s as liberal. Anyone who went to one knows that’s pretty insane. Their goal is to kill the freedom of the churches and transform the Southern Baptists into a hierarchical church that they have never been before.
As far as I know, and I went to Baylor for a while, they never had ties to the SBC.
