My favorite version of The Tennessee Waltz is by Pee Wee King & His Golden West Cowboys (1948). I also like the the version by Lloyd "Cowboy" Copas from the same year. Both came out on the King label.

"Cowboy" Copas was killed in the plane crash that took the life of Patsy Cline.

Thanks. I just listened to it and it’s nice but doesn’t compare to Patsy, IMO.

I didn’t know about “Cowboy Copas” being killed in that crash. Thanks for the info.
