Police: Altoona man injured after lighting stick of dynamite while on meth

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a man suffered severe injuries Friday after he lit a quarter stick of dynamite in his hand and it exploded in his home on North 2nd Street in the Juniata section of Altoona.
Officers said the man was under the influence of methamphetamine.
The man was transported to UPMC Altoona.
They said a criminal investigation is underway.
