Years ago, I said that Glocks were not good for cops. The trigger thing. I would prefer to see them with a DA only gun, like the Sig 320 or similar. The Glock is for “professionals”, no offense to law enforcement.
WTF? He’s on the ground wrestling with the thug - hopefully by not using an “illegal” chokehold - and the other cops shoot at them both? Why am I having a hard time believing that?

I have seen recent police shootouts online in LA,NYC and Philadelphia. It might as well be “spray and pray”. The typical police office gets very little range time and actually may never fire a weapon in the line of duty.
Plain clothes cop in gangland at 1230 am. Not sure what they were wearing, but around these parts, it's not uncommon for them to "blend in" with the local fashion. Not sure yet which officers fired, or if those officers knew there was a cop in the fray. At least 2 of the 5 officers involved knew a cop was fighting a bad guy.

I heard it on Early Fox news this morning before the PC editors edited it out.
But the story changed, I see, after the initial news cast:
“Mulkeen, 33, was shot twice amid his life-or-death struggle with reputed gangbanger Antonio Lavance Williams early Sunday in the borough’s Edenwald Houses, but it was initially unclear whether he was shot with his own service Glock, struck by rounds from other officers or both.”

I also heard he was shot 3 times, once in the head and twice to the chest, not two.This from the NYPD PR officer .
By Monday, the NYPD determined that Mulkeen’s partners fired off 10 shots — two of which struck their brother in blue in the head and torso — even though Mulkeen was wearing a bulletproof vest. The torso shot exited his body through his thigh, leading officials to first say Mulkeen had been shot three times.
Its hard to say whether the discrepancies were fake or real, especially with Mayor DeBlasio in control, one who would rather have it be by friendly fire than murder by a racial minority perp.
Sorry, I tend to be very skeptical.
